	Slide Show Yahoo Map Activities 751 South Alabama Avenue, DeLand, FL  32724 386-740-6860 The Activities Center was constructed in 1969 under the direction of the Parks and Recreation Department, headed by Thomas W. Sperling. It was formally dedicated on December 12, 1969. It is a municipal recreational center used primarily by the senior citizens of the community. The main community room was renovated in 1996. In the fall of 1999 it was renamed the Wayne G. Sanborn Activities Center. It seats approximately 200 people when used for a banquet. Saturdays are available for weddings or meetings. The activities Center has handicap accessible restrooms and a built-in stage. Adjacent to the Activities Center you will also find: the David E.
